Love God with all your strength
Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Have you ever heard the statement, “actions speak louder than words”?
The statement gives you a visual of someone saying something with their verbal language but saying the complete opposite with the body language.
Think of someone telling you how strong they are and how they exercise all the time. But their body doesn’t reflect it. You can tell by their physique that they don’t really spend any significant amount of time at the gym.
Or maybe it’s someone that tells you how much they enjoy the outdoors. But if asked to do an outdoor activity they don’t last but a few minutes.
So what does it look like to love God with all your strengths?
Leverage what you have for the greatest good – namely Gods glory.
Not sure what you have? Think of these questions to get you thinking.
- What are you gifted in?
- What hobbies do you enjoy?
- Where do you work?
- Who are your neighbors?
- How many cars do you have?
- What athletic abilities do you have?
- Which school subjects are you proficient with?
Use your energy, abilities, skills, your actual physical strength and sweat to lift people up.
You can Run for God, walk for God, work for God, sing for God draw for God, wash cars for God….you get the picture.
You have so much to offer.
How can you use your”Strength” for God today?
