I hate waiting!
I hate waiting in the check out line. I hate waiting in rush hour traffic. I hate waiting at the doctor’s office especially because if you’re not, you will be after that (maybe that’s their master plan). I hate waiting on God.
You’re probably judging me for that last statement. But if you’re honest I only said what you were thinking.
If you’ve been a Christian for any amount of time you’ve had to wait on God. And it’s never easy. Maybe you’re in the middle of waiting right now. The hand on the clock can’t seem to move fast enough.
As much as I hate to admit it, waiting is biblical. Joseph had to wait. Moses had to wait. Joshua and to wait. Abraham had to wait. And not only did they have to wait, they had to wait a really long time.
But God shows us mercy in the waiting room. Moses, Joseph, Abraham, and Joshua had to go through special “training” before God sent them on mission.
God has plans for you. But the you are now might not be the you He can use. Maybe the you He needs is on the other side of the waiting room.
So what are you waiting for, start waiting on God? I know that’s like saying hurry up and wait. Trust His timing and trust His plans. Even if it involves, you guessed it, waiting.
