Our human dilemma
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
The Christian walk is 100% all about faith. It begins with faith and ends with faith.
- We begin by putting our faith in Jesus for salvation
- Then we trust as He does the work of transforming us into the likeness of Christ
- And we live with a hope in the future He has prepared.
It all involves and requires faith.
But faith is hard. We want answers, clear directions and promises of success. But that’s not faith.
Hebrews 11:1 (ESV) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Faith is only faith when there is ambiguity, no answers, and no promise of victory. Once you have any of those, your actions are based what you know not on who you trust.
Christian faith is about a who
Christian faith is more about who you know then what you know. We must trek into the unfamiliar because we walk with the one we know. He is trustworthy and always keeps His promises.
